I have been involved in R/C modeling for over thirty years, mostly airplanes and boats. We have a local club in Eureka, Montana, a few years ago a new county airport was constructed and we were able to get a portion of the old airport dedicated to us for our activity. we have a 1000 feet runway, taxi way and overfly area in all directions, our club is Tobacco Valley R/C Flyers with about 20 members.
This
is a 2 meter sail plane " Gentle Lady", very light and a good floater,
I also have another one adapted to a power glider with an OS .10 engine
and throttle control, also have the T tail version known as "Sophisticated
Lady", the electric powered version called "Electra", a very light 1.5
meter glider and a 1.5 meter electric glider.

The Model on left was scratch built
many years ago from plans, it has three channels and is powered by a .15
engine, flies nicely and is easy to control.
The one at right is an Elder 40,
built from a kit and had wheels, the manufacturer also offered the float
kit for water flying, it can be switched back in a few minutes.
In our area there are many lakes
within a few miles where these models can be operated.
This
is a Speedy Bee, built from a Clancy kit, odd looking and easy to fly model
capable of aerobatics in relative slow speed and lots of fun.
I will add more pictures of my sail and power boats and other airplanes in near future.
