MONTANA

WE ARE LOCATED IN EUREKA, A SMALL TOWN OF 1200 POPULATION IN NORTHWEST OF THE STATE, IT IS VERY CLOSE TO GLACIER PARK AND IS AMONG THE MOST SCENIC PARTS OF THE U. S., THERE ARE SOME PICTURES AND INFORMATION ABOUT IT  here and   here.

This is our cabin near Eureka, Montana. on 40 wooded acres, it is rather small and in future we plan to build a bigger house, the garage under the cabin has insulation and heat, used as workshop, I built another double garage in the back few years ago, it filled up quickly so in 06 a 24x48 two story was built behind it, upper level is used for storage parts, vehicles are in the lower.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


We get fair amounts of snow  and cold weather in winter which renders the little pick up unusable, fortunately I have an old 4X4 GMC for such occasions, also by mid December I usually go south to Los Angeles.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

<>We have an abundance of wildlife in our area, especially the deer, some have got to be quite friendly and at times stand around and watch me work, I have had to put on wire cages around the fruit trees to keep them from stripping the branches.

I bought this log house at an auction and moved it some 30 miles to a new location at a lakeside resort area, with help of some friends we loaded it on a trailer and moved it atop a full size foundation that I built containing the bedrooms and bath, after rolling it on the foundation ( three days work ), it was completely refurbished. It was completed and sold a few years ago.
